THE YOUTH MINISTRY AT BREATH OF LIFE CHURCH, 1313 Pine St., will celebrate Black History at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The theme is “The Struggle Is Not Over.” The public is invited to attend. Dinner will be served after the services. Jennifer Lee is youth director. The featured speaker will be Ivan Whitfield, a retired Pine Bluff police chief and former city council member. Whitfield has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In 1983, he began his career with the Pine Bluff Police Department, where he served 35 years. He was also elected president of the NAACP Pine Bluff Branch. He is married to Loretta Whitfield and they have one daughter and one granddaughter.
GREATER BATTLE CHAPEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1001 Commerce Road, will host a Musical Extravaganza at 5 p.m. Saturday. Guests will include Devin Pruitt & Spiritually Driven, Keenon Coleman, Spiritual Wings of Joy, Pastor TW Scott & The Singing Revs, Set Apart, and Faith of Harmony.
NEW UNITED MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 5601 Cheatham St., will conduct its Black History program during worship services at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Woodrow Jackson Sr. is the pastor.

AN EAR TO HEAR WORSHIP CENTER, 10912 U.S. 65 South in Grady, rescheduled the first anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Antonio and LaTravia Iverson, from Feb. 1 to March 1. The anniversary will be observed at 2:30 p.m. March 1. The guest speaker will be the apostle/pastor, Patrick Lockett of New Community Church of Pine Bluff, accompanied by his congregation. The worship leader will be Keenon Coleman.
