Charles Herbert “Cat” Finley, 79, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
Born June 14, 1936 at Steve, Arkansas (Yell County), he was a son of John T. Finley and Leona Blackwood Finley.
Mr. Finley was a United States Marine veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.
He retired in 1998 as a mechanic for the Pine Bluff Police Department after 18 years of service. Known as a great story teller and tinkerer, Mr. Finley enjoyed working on tractors in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Harrell; and four siblings.
Mr. Finley is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lawanda Bennett Finley; daughters, Teresa Nguyen (Giao) and Tonya Eheman; sister, Ann Black; son-in-law, John Harrell; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow in New Owen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
