UAPB to host Chancellor’s Ice Cream Social
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host the annual Chancellor’s Ice Cream Social from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the William O’Bryant Bell Tower. All UAPB students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to attend. The event is free and marks the official welcome from UAPB Interim Chancellor Andrea Stewart to the campus community. Walk Across Arkansas set
Registration begins Aug. 26 for the Cooperative Extension Service’s biannual health initiative, Walk Across Arkansas. Arkansans are encouraged to form teams in their workplaces, neighborhoods or other communities and join the effort, according to a news release. During the eight-week session, individuals will log their daily total number of minutes of physical activity — which isn’t limited to walking. Forestry Division seeks grant proposals
The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division invites grant proposals for the 2024 Urban and Community Forestry Grant Assistance Program. Funding supports sustainable forestry projects across Arkansas, according to a news release.
