Boo on the Bayou among nature center events

Delta Rivers Nature Center at Regional Park will host a variety of events in October:

Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29 – Boo on the Bayou — The nature center will host the area’s largest free Halloween event, Boo on the Bayou, from 6-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29. Participants may wear their costumes, bring their families and enjoy two nights of activities including games, inflatables, the Scary Maze and Trail of Terror (bring a flashlight for this event).

Friday, Oct. 7 – Nature Quilters meet the first Friday of every month at 1:30 p.m. Learn to quilt or share quilting knowledge. A monthly nature program based on the year’s theme quilt is provided. An annual quilt show showcases members’ work.

Saturdays, Oct. 8-22 – Spooky Spiders Crafts Program — Learn about these eight-legged creatures and spin a spider web for Halloween. Craft session will be 10 a.m. to noon; learning sessions will start at 1 p.m. Oct. 15 – Make an Owl; Oct. 22 – Bats.
