Bobbie Rich


Mrs. Bobbie Dale Flowers Rich was born on July 9, 1952, to proud parents Charlie and Myrtle Flowers in Holly Grove, Ark. She was the youngest of the family.

Mrs. Rich was a graduate of Holly Grove High School, where she was valedictorian of the Class of 1970. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary science education and immediately began her career as an educator, teaching in the Osceola, Clarendon and Marvell school districts. Mrs. Rich returned home to Holly Grove and was a popular science teacher at Holly Grove High School for more than 30 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Isiah Rich; four daughters, Kimberly Brown (Kwame) of West Memphis, Ark., Udana Darkins, Aleisha Rich and Ashley Rich of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Clarence Flowers (Vera) of Omaha, Neb., Allese Flowers (Easrine) of Columbus, Ohio, and Dr. Larry Sims (attorney Kim Sims) of Memphis, Tenn.; five sisters, Charlene Atkins of Little Rock, Ark., Emma Jean Jackson of Holly Grove, Ark., Susie Sutton of Chicago, Ill., Mary Grant (Nathaniel) and Earnestine Grant of Pine Bluff; and six grandchildren, Kylynn, Kimora, Tristan, Alysse, Alyssa and Ayla.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Holly Grove, Ark.

Burial will be at Hayes Cemetery.
