WHITE HALL – Betty Lee Furgason, 89, of White Hall, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 17, 1925, in Little Rock, to George G. and Mary Adelaide Miller Michael.
She received her educated in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Furgason had worked at South Western Bell, United States Postal Service, Ben Pearson and the Mary Carter Paint Store, but her heart was in being a homemaker where she took care of her family.
She was an active member of Hardin Baptist Church. Where she served on various boards and had served as WMU director and VBS director.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Houston Furgason, whom she married on March 10, 1943, in Seattle, Washington; a son, Bobby Furgason, a daughter, Becky Huffman; her parents; brothers, Buddy, Tom and Jim Michael.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Kasiah (Joe) of White Hall; sisters, Jane Denton of Brenham, Texas, Dorothy Mitchell of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time at Hardin Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Hardin Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Taylor officiating.
Burial will be private.
