Be ware of tax, phone scams

Editor, The Commercial:

I received two calls from IRS last week, on December 02, 03, 2015. The message I received is a phone scam, according to officials at the Little Rock IRS office. On each occasion the message said, “an arrest warrant will be issued on my name” advising me to call the number they left, message attached.

Should others in Pine Bluff or the state receive such calls, they should not provide any information but report it immediately to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) of the IRS.

This is a phone scam; please be aware.
