Barbara McCarty, 75, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, April 2, 2012.
She was born October 14, 1936, a daughter of the late Alvin and Mary Briggs Gardner.
Barbara retired from Jefferson Regional Medical Center after 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mancel McCarty; a daughter, Maggie Norrid; and eight siblings.
Survivors include two daughters, Melodie West of Elkins, Ark. and Robin Gulledge of Deadwood, S.D.; sisters, Betty Puckett, Margo Deems, and Joleta Winter; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private services are to be held, burial will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
