Augusta Willis
Mrs. Augusta Willis 98, of Pine Bluff, Ark., entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Augusta was born on November 28, 1916 to the late Nunn Williams and Mary Martin Williams in Pine Bluff, Ark.
Augusta received her education at Spring Hill in Pine Bluff, Ark.
Augusta confessed her hope in Christ at an early age, uniting with Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. church and remained a faithful member until her health began to decline.
Augusta was united in holy matrimony to Robert Willis and this union was blessed with three children.
Augusta was preceded in death by her parents-Nunn and Mary Williams, daughters-Emma Jean Owens and Ruth Jean Lemon, siblings-James Rhodes and Emma Davis.
Augusta is survived by her loving daughter-Donna Willis of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 16 grandchildren, great-grand children, great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E church. Visitation will be Monday October 5, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Christian Way Funeral Home
