Three Rivers Audubon Society will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Cook Lake to observe hummingbird banding.
Banding is done by licensed and trained personnel. First-time attendees usually get to hold a hummingbird before it flies away. After the program, the group will have its annual picnic. Anyone wishing to attend can get directions to Cook Lake by calling Delos McCauley, 850-7861. Those attending should bring a sack lunch and a drink.
