An art show featuring the works of Markeith Woods is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, at Indigo Blue Coffeehouse, 212 W. Barraque St. This event is free and open to the public.
A native of Pine Bluff, Woods is an educator, artist and art consultant. Woods is a 2014 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in visual arts, according to a previous article.
“I have heard so many great things about him and his work and I am delighted that he is doing a show at Indigo Blue,” Maryann Lee, the owner of Indigo Blue, said in a news release. “I want to showcase the talents of as many young Pine Bluff artists, authors, poets, and entertainers as I can at this coffeehouse.”
The coffeehouse is open extended hours during UAPB Homecoming: Friday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and brunch on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
