CROSSETT – Arley Hubbell, age 87, of Crossett, a former long-time resident of Grady, died Friday, October 10, 2014.
He was born in Pope County on June 20, 1927 to the late William Harvey Hubbell and Nettie Naomi Vinson Hubbell. He also served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a member, deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at First Baptist Church of Grady for many years.
Mr. Hubbell was a retired farmer who believed in hard work.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Jackie, William, and James Hubbell; and a sister, Wanda Alexander.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Margaret Duke Hubbell, to whom he was married on October 22, 1947; three sons, Judge Billy Hubbell (Judy) of Crossett, John D. Hubbell (Diana) of Paducah, KY, and Joe Kenneth Hubbell (Karla) of Shelton, WA; a brother, Bobby Hubbell; two sisters, Ruby Allen of Pine Bluff and Louise Young of Russellville; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Grady with the service following at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services of Pine Bluff.
The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Grady.
