Mr. Allen “Spunk” Sims, Sr., 85, of Pine Bluff, Ark., entered into eternal life Friday, September 4, 2015. He was a retired logger and avid hunter and fisherman. He was the loving son of the late Taylor and Carrie Sims of England, Ark.; beloved husband of the late, Leola Sims of Lake Providence, La.
He was the cherished father of: Allen, Jr., Dianne Sims-Johnson, Donald, Walter, Juanita Sims-Iwu, Phillip, Sr., Karin and Andre; His survivors also include: Brother, Herman; Daughter-in-Laws, Patrice, Chola and Cherie; Son-in-Law, James Johnson; his first wife and friend, Molly Sims-LaGrone; 29 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by Brothers, Cornelius, J.C. George, James and Chester; and Sister, Mary Sims Trouser.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 11, 2015, 5-7 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church-Pine Bluff, AR. Interment will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
