Alexandra Leigh “Alex” Vega, 12, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Born October 21, 2002 at Pine Bluff, she was the daughter of Stephanie Vega and Jorge Vega.
Alex attended Cornerstone Apostolic Church and had recently completed the sixth grade at Coleman Elementary School. She enjoyed reading and loved to paint and draw. She liked butterflies and My Little Pony, especially Pinky Pie, and playing Minecraft.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Charles Powell and Mack Ray Reed.
In addition to her parents, Alex is survived by her brother, Gavyn; maternal grandparents, Tom Powell and wife Sharon, Roxanne Melgarejo, and “Papa” Orlando Melgarejo; paternal grandparents, Mario Vega and Jovita Hernandez; maternal great-grandparents, Sallie Powell and Jeanette Reed; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Apostolic Church in White Hall. Visitation was Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Services. Online condolences: FullerFunerals.com
