Aleta Castaneda, 51 of Watson Chapel, Ark. died May 20, 2012. Aleta was born March 20, 1961 in Dumas, Ark. She was the daughter of D.L. Powell and Peggy Sexton Powell. Aleta was employed by JoAnn’s Florist in Sheridan and attended Assembly of God Church. Her father, D.L. Powell preceded her in death.
Survivors are her mother, Peggy Sexton Spillers of Star City, Ark. and two sons, Christopher Castaneda of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Christian Castaneda of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two brothers, Ronnie Goines of Little Rock, Ark. and Gary Powell of Dumas, Ark. and two sisters, Juanita James of Dumas, Ark. and Trish Neece of White Hall, Ark., eight grandchildren and stepdad, Ray Spillers.
Visitation held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 , Griffin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Pickens officiating followed by burial in Watson Cemetery, Watson, Ark. Memorials in memory of Aleta may be of Donor’s choice of charity. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Home, Dumas, Ark.
