Mrs. Alberta Johnson, 69, of Pine Bluff passed Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born October 25, 1945 in Ladd, Arkansas to the late Cleveland and Beauty Mae (Beard) Johnson.
Sis. Johnson accepted Christ at an early age at Derrisaux Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Red Walker. In later years she united with New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
She graduated from Southeast Junior and Senior High School. She did some factory and restaurant work.
She loved the Lord, her gospel music, and fishing. She was a woman of quiet and gentle spirit.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Johnson (known as “Puncho”).
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, Demetric L. (Tricia) Bullard; one granddaughter, Demetrius Bullard; three brothers, Cleveland Johnson, Jr., David (Anne) Johnson and James Johnson all of Pine Bluff; three Sisters, Mamie (James) Williams of Moscow, AR, Georgia (Thomas) Walker and Clementine Murphy both of Pine Bluff and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be 10:0a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at New Morning Star Baptist Church by Reverend Raphael Williams. Interment will be in Forrest Lawn by Brown Funeral Home.
Her body will lie in-state Saturday 9:15a.m. until service.
Visitation will be at 5:30-7p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home.
