Six Pine Bluff residents were nominated for the 2012 Outstanding State Employee Award. The honor will be announced at the 44th annual convention of the Arkansas State Employees Association at a banquet in Little Rock Friday.
Twenty five people were nominated. Local nominees are all Department of Correction staff:
• Tiffanye J. Compton, a research and planning administrator in the central office, has been a state employee for 20 years.
• Lucy Flemmons, a volunteer services coordinator in the central office, has been with the state for nearly three years.
• John Kleiner, a state employee for 36 years, is an emergency preparedness administrator at the Randall L. Williams Correctional Facility.

• Richard Meeks, a 10 year veteran of the state, is a construction/maintenance supervisor with the Pine Bluff Unit.
• Daniel Potter, assistant administrator of information technology for the department’s Administrative Annex East, has been a state employee for four years.
• Wanda Reeves, with 31 years experience with the state, is an ag/industry buyer II with the department’s agriculture/industry division.
