The Progressive Women’s Association held their monthly meeting and luncheon recently at the White Hall Museum.
Delois Dilbeck, president, conducted the meeting. Plans were made for the Business Associate/Woman of the Year Banquet. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the White Hall City Hall.
A Business Associate and the Association’s Woman of the Year will be recognized at the banquet. Scotty Ray will be catering the meal. Alice Erwin, Vina Yarbrough, Nancy Rosen, Dilbeck, Pat Hooks, and Linda Hurd volunteered to bring door prizes for the banquet.
Dottie Yarbrough, community service chairwoman, thanked the group for bringing dollar items to be used as Bingo Prizes at Ft. Root Veterans Administration Hospital.
Birthday gifts were won by Mary Ann Davis, Alice Erwin, and Margie Murphy. Door prizes were won by Linda Eifling and Dottie Yarbrough. Freda Mills, a guest of Bernice Foster, was a guest at the meeting. Mills was welcomed as a new member.
