Lauree Stone


Lauree Freeman Stone, age 95, of Pine Bluff, died September 17, 2016 at Trinity Village Medical Center.

She was born April 12, 1921 and spent her childhood in Camden.

She graduated from Camden High School, and married her childhood sweetheart, Jack Thomas Stone in 1939.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Augusta Koon; and her husband, Jack on February 15, 2003.

Mrs. Stone was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Wesley Friendship Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Union Chapter #40, Order of the Eastern Star; and the Cotton Belt Railroad Historical Society. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, loved to read, and was an avid Razorback fan.

Survivors include three sons, Jack T. Stone, Jr. (Zella) of Las Vegas, Neve., Larry H. Stone (Jan), and Ronny Stone, all of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Renee (Brian) Barger, Jack Thomas Stone, III, Tonya (Tom) Holthaus, Kenith (Laura) Stone, Lauri (Will) Allison, Heath (Heather) Stone, and Deanna (Michael) Graves; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 1:30 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.

The service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Mike Morey officiating. A private family burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Trinity Village Medical Center for their care of Mrs. Stone for many years.
