Annie B. Davis, 91, of Pine Bluff passed on July 24, 2016. She was
born April 17, 1925 to the late Henry and Minnie Norman York.
She received her education at the Pines Vocational Technical School.
Annie accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful and dedicated
member of Mt. Nebo MBC under the leadership of Rev. Larry C. Battles.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Emmitte Davis; a son,
Robert Shorter, and eight siblings.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Shelton, Shelia Dorn of
Pine Bluff and “Emma” Kolen of Dallas,Texas; son, Henry Shorter of
Pine Bluff; sister, Rebecca Chandler of Denver, Colo.; 23
grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives
and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at
Mt. Nebo MBC. Body will lie in state from 9:15 a.m. until time of
service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today 5-7 p.m. at Christian Way Funeral Home.
