Mr. Richard Lee Barber, 75, of Pine Bluff passed May 5, 2016 at Central Arkansas Veteran Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born February 17, 1941 in Pine Bluff, the son of Willie Barber and James Barber.
He graduated from Merrill High Schoo lin 1959. He was drafted into the Army in 1965 where he was honorably discharged. He married Ruth A. Jones on December 17, 1971 and to this union three sons were born.
Eight relatives preceded him in death which include his sister, Mary Eagle and brother, Jearly Barber.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Jones Barber of Pine Bluff; three sons, Frank of Atlanta, Ga., Answain of Pine Bluff, and Morgan (Susan) of Pomona, Calif.; one brother, Willie (Bernice) Barber of Lawton, Okla.; one sister, Gloria (Gus) Thomas of Kansas City, Mo.; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016, 2 p.m. at Faith In Action Ministries, Bishop Andre Johnson, pastor.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Faith In Action Ministries.
Burial will be in Graceland Veteran Sections in Pine Bluff.
