Essie Lee Boyd James, 95, of Pine Bluff died December 3, 2015. She was born January 11, 1920, to the late Henry Thomas and Cora H. Boyd in the Bookman Community.
She was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Pine Bluff.
Her parents, husband, two brothers, three sisters, one daughter, two grandsons, and one nephew preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her four daughters, Lou E. (James) Lambert, Vivian Thomas and Sharon Jones, all of Monticello, Rose (James) Wiggins of Little Rock; one son, John H. James of Pine Bluff; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. Paul A.M. E. Church in Pine Bluff. The body will lie in state from 9:15 a.m. until the time of service.
Visitation will be today at Christian Way Funeral Home from 6–8 p.m.
