Funeral services for Mr. James Davis, 89, of Pine Bluff, passed March 04 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, will be held Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. St. Hurricane MBC, Rev. Derrick L. Easter pastor, Rev. George Stepps, eulogist.
He was born June 17, 1925 to the late Cleveland Davis and Ethel A. Davis.
He attended school in Stephen, Ark., moved to East St. Louis was a member of Mt. Sink Baptist Church where he was an usher and sung in the choir. He was employed at Illinois Central Rail Road for many years he retired and moved to Pine Bluff. Joined New St. Hurricane MBC, he sang in the choir and was an usher. He was married to the late Lady Mae Davis, he was preceded in death by a son James E. Muhammed.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Shelia (John) Parker of St. Louis, Mo., three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four sisters, Jerlean Hudson, Leelean Clark, Alderwoman Thelma Walker all of Pine Bluff, Ruth Davis of East St. Louis, Mo., a host of neices, nephews, cousins.
Visitation may be made 5-6 p.m. St. Hurricane MBC.
Burial will be in New St. Hurricane Cemetery. Services by Perry Funeral Home
