George Morris


George Robert Morris was the youngest of six siblings born to the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Tiny B. Morris, September 25, 1960, in Pine Bluff, Ark. He entered his eternal rest February 1, 2015.

He was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

For a time, he was employed at the Southeast Arkansas Community College.

He enjoyed reading, cooking and listening to jazz music.

George was united in holy matrimony to Betty Litzsey Morris, and with this union three children were born.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wade L. Morris and one sister, Ester M. Bennett

Heis survived by three daughters, Monica R. Litzsey, Loletha Litzey (Andre) Tolbert, and LaToya Bennett, all of Pine Bluff; a son George R. Litzsey, of Muskegon, Mich.; four sisters, Gloria J. Morris, Jacqueline R. Hogan, Shanetta A. Bennett, and Bonnie Johnson; a mother-in-law, Rosie Litzsey and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the Rose Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Forest Lawn Cemetery with services entrusted to the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary on Friday.

Mr. Morris will lie in repose at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
