HOT SPRINGS – James “Jim” William White, 75, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed peacefully January 5, 2015. He was born March 16, 1939, in East Calais, Vermont, to the late Andrew and Melvina (Chalifoux) White. Jim served in the Navy and was a piper on the USS Blandy. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, and a Member of the American Legion. He was also an avid baseball fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the New York Yankees. Jim was a dedicated father and husband who loved his family and grandkids. Before moving to Hot Springs, he lived in Pine Bluff where he worked at Illinois Tool and a few car dealerships.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judy White; daughter, Lynn Bond (Richard); sister, Maud Ainsworth; grandchildren, Victoria Reynolds and Wil Reynolds.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Stacy Sanders officiating.
Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the American Cancer Society or the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital.
