Jefferson County Road Department and Recycling Report

The roads that were repaired by the Jefferson County Road Department were as follows:

Sept. 2

– Patching Crew: Patched shoulders on Clint Henderson Road with hot mix asphalt.

– Culvert Crew: Installed a 12-foot by 20-foot metal pipe on NCTR Road and covered it with 10 yards of SB2. Cleaned out a driveway culvert on River Road and Ashley Road.

– Truck Driver: Haled 10 yards of SB2 to NCTR Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded State Farm Road, Morgan Road and Gilliand Road.

– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Clint Henderson Road, Darby Lane, Lowman Road, Ferguson Road, Summit Road, Luckwood Road and Rayhan Road.

– Sign Shop: Road signs were put up on Gaddy Koonce Road. A stop sign was put up on Whiteville Road and the rest of the day was spent making signs.

Sept. 3

-Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Wilderness Road, Gaddy Koonce Road and Second Street in Altheimer.

– Culvert Crew: Installed a 12-foot by 24-foot driveway culvert on St. Raphael Road and covered it with 20 yards of SB2.

– Set Up Crew: Dug up soft spots on Wilbur West Road for future resurfacing.

– Truck Driver: Hauled 20 yards of SB2 to st. Raphael Road.

– Grader Operator: Graded Maynard Road and Walker Road.

– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Payton Road, Tall Timber Lane, North and South Ramick Road, Tall Oak Road and Tall Pine Trail.

– Sign shop: Put stop sign up on Wilderness Road.

Sept. 4

– Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Raymick Road, Gaddy Koonce Road, Snyder Road and Brown Cemetery Road.

– Set Up Crew: Dug out soft spots on Wilbur West Road and Dvoky Road making it ready for future resurfacing.

– Grader Operator: Graded Sell Davis Road, Gibb Anderson Road and Grider Field Road.

– Boom Mower: Cut right of way on Lanni Lane.

Jefferson County Recycling Report

– Brought in nine tire boxes, four cardboard boxes and one trash box.

– Brought three trash trailers in, sent three trash trailers out.

– Jefferson County brought in 44.79 tons of tires. Get Rid of It/Waste Management brought in 20.34 tons of tires.

– Continued operation of the new recycling center.
