Anniversaries/Annuals

The appreciation program honoring the Holley Sisters of Dumas will be at 6 p.m. April 28 at Watson District Headquarters at Mitchellville.

Guests include the New Herron Singers of Little Rock, Barnes Sisters of Altheimer, Sensational Hearts of Star City, Brown Sisters and Spiritually Anointed both of Dumas. Words of encouragement will be by the Rev. Lamar Brooks, pastor of Marzell Missionary Baptist Church at Grady.

St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will celebrate the seventh anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Richard Hart, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. G.L. Ford, pastor of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold its 44th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Donald Manning, pastor of Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Gould.

First Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will hold its fifth anniversary celebration of its pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Daryl Graydon.

Today at 6 p.m., the first lady, Yvette Graydon, will be honored. The guest speaker will be Betty Craig, first lady of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Other guests will include Stephanie Batemon of Kindling Star Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow, Witnezz, New Beginners, Men of Christ, Pastors Lil Angels, and more.

Sunday at 3 p.m., the guest preacher will be the Rev. Ervin Batemon of Kindling Star Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow.

The third anniversary of Rev. Sammie Smith Jr. and Nu-Begin-N will be celebrated at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

Today at 6:30 p.m., guests will include the White Family, Southside Union, Voices of Deliverance and the Dixieaires.

Sunday at 5:30 p.m., the guests will include Mighty Gospelettes, Angels of Christ and Sensational Soul Revivers.

Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church at Reed will celebrate the 12th anniversary of its pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Johnny B. Handley, beginning today at 6:30 p.m. with a musical.

At 11 a.m. Sunday, the guest preacher will be the Rev. Andrew Beal, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at Pickens.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Johnny Morton, pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas, will be the guest preacher.

New Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 3800 Fir St., will hold its fifth anniversary service at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Lloyd Holcomb, pastor of Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Other guests include Eudora Missionary Baptist Church choir and New St. James Missionary Baptist Church choir.

There is Hope Church of God in Christ, 1003 E. Second Ave., will celebrate 15 years of service honoring the superintendent and wife, Earl and Amanda Glass at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be Bishop Jewel Withers Jr. of Arkansas First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ.

Solomon Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 8011 S. Olive St., will hold its 144th anniversary on Sunday.

At 11 a.m. the guest preacher will be the Rev. Courtney Wilson, youth minister at Mount Harmony Baptist Church.

The Rev. Terrance Williams, pastor of the Living Word Baptist Church, will deliver the sermon at 2:30 p.m.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold its pre-anniversary program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Woodrow Jackson Sr. of New United Missionary Baptist Church.

Greater Fellowship Ministry, 2401 S. Main St., will hold its 15th anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday. The preacher will be the bishop, Esau Watson.

Kingdom Builders Outreach Ministries, 3105 S. Apple St., will celebrate its seventh church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the superintendent, Joe Stocker, pastor of Main Street Church of God in Christ. The featured guests will be Dedric Jones and Chosen Praise.

International House of Praise, 1002 E. Eighth Ave., will celebrate its eighth anniversary honoring pastors Willie and Carla Edwards Jr.

Today at 7 p.m. the guest preacher will be Emma Luckett, apostle of Evangelistic Outreach Ministries.

At 5 p.m. Sunday, the guest preacher will be the Rev. Gregory Eichelberger, pastor of New Genesis Christian Fellowship Ministries at Dermott.

Concerts/Musicals

The SEA Arkansas Community Mass Choir will sponsor a musical benefit program for Albert Cook and Toria Hines at 7 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church at Altheimer.

Jimmy McKissic and UAPB’s Voice Students Concert “An Afternoon of Hymns and Classical Music” will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 32 School St.

St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 S. Catalpa St., will hold its mass choir and friends concert at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Gospel Music Ministries will present “Getting Back on Track — Doing it God’s Way” beginning today at 6:30 p.m. today at Victory Faith Church of God in Christ, 16th Avenue and Poplar Street.

The guest speakers will be Felicia Golatt, evangelist from Christian Redeeming Spiritual Church No. 1 at Forrest City and Lenora Harris, elder of Living Word Praise and Worship center at Little Rock.

The musical guests include New Sensational Soul Revivers, Golatt Links of Harmony, Voices of Heaven and Mighty Gospelettes.

Lupus Foundation of America Arkansas Chapter, Inc. will hold a praise and raise Lupus gospel concert at 6 p.m. today at First Church of the Nazarene at Hot Springs.

First Methodist Church, 200 W. St. Andrew AME Church, 701 Franklin St., will hold its annual men’s day program beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. Rev. Hodijah Gray will bring the sermon at 11 a.m.

The guest preacher at 3 p.m. will be the Rev. Richard Bullard, pastor of Grace Evangelical Baptist Church.

New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Bois D. Arc St., will hold its men’s day at 3 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Sylvester Kearney, pastor of Greater Paradise Missionary Baptist Church at Grady, will be the guest speaker.
