Gracie “Degressive” Newsome Alexander departed this life on January 6, 2012. She was born to Auguster and Emma Jones Newsome in Monroe, La., on September 20, 1929.
Her survivors include,Children, Aldon Newsome, Thelma Thigpen (Lee), Betty Alexander, JoAnn Alexander-Wheeler (Ron), Lee Arthur Alexander Louvenia), Ricky Alexander (Tekima), Duke Alexander, Dwight Alexander; Sisters, Augusta Thomas (Samuel) and Gerlean Archie; 46 Grandchildren and 51 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at GodCares We Care House of Prayer from 11:00 a.m-1:00 p.m. on 7104 Mabelvale Cutoff, Little Rock, AR 72209. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Grady, AR by Pine Bluff Mortuary Co.
