STAR CITY — Joyce Virginia Bolen Newman, 87, of Star City, died Wednesday. Ms. Newman was born in Star City, on Feb. 9, 1924, daughter of the late Marion Arthur Bolen and Minnie Rebecca Ethel Bridges Bolen.
Survivors include sons, Paul Wayne Newman, Melvin Newman, and Kenneth Newman; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Today, December 10, 2011 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Bro. Doney Blackerby will officiate.
Visitation was held 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial at Newman Cemetery.
