Helen Pet Jacks Patterson, age 85, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
She was born November 19, 1926, at Rowell, Ark., a daughter of the late Fred Larkin Jacks and Linnie Ellen Reed Jacks, and was a graduate of Rison High School.
Mrs. Patterson worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for several years, and had lived in several locations including Las Vegas, Nev. and Lawton, Okla. prior to moving back to Pine Bluff to be near her family. She was a Baptist and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Along with her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. “Pat” Patterson, whom she married on October 20, 1951, at Pine Bluff; a sister, Rosemary Massey; and two brothers, John Jacks and Charles Jacks. Her survivors include a daughter Robin Lynn Patterson; two brothers, Billy Jacks and James Jacks; and two sisters, Kathleen Billins and Betty Sue Watts. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Bro. Doney Blackerby officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, in Sunset Memorial Gardens at Lawton, Okla.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
