Mr. Henry Murphy, Sr. was born December 26, 1925 in Noble Lake, Ark., to the late Garfield Murphy and Mandy Davis Murphy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Queen Ester Fuller-Murphy, a son Johnny Murphy and one sister Lizzie Freeman. He was a member of the Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. He attended school at the Missouri Street School and served in the U.S. Army where he received a World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and AP Theater Ribbon.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Mount Harmony Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert L. Handley officiating. Interment will be at the Miller Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Mr. Murphy will lie in repose at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
