Two Pine Bluff Police Department employees were placed on administrative leave with pay Thursday pending the conclusion of an internal investigation.
PBPD spokesman Lt. Bob Rawlinson said no more information would be available Thursday, citing the ongoing investigation. It is standard procedure not to release the names of employees on administrative leave until the investigation is concluded.
Asked about reports by other media outlets that a PBPD-issued weapon was found at a homicide crime scene, Rawlinson said that information did not come from him and he could not confirm or deny the information at this stage in the investigation.
