Zeta Phi Beta hosts awareness of premature babies

The Epsilon Zeta Zeta Chapter of Pine Bluff and other chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. are conducting prematurity awareness events in houses of worship in November, Prematurity Awareness Month.

“Prematurity affects one out of 10 babies born in the United States,” a spokesman said.

The March of Dimes is hosting a World Prematurity Day observance Tuesday, Nov. 17. This is the 13th year for Zetas to lead this nationwide grassroots campaign.

“The March of Dimes is leading a national effort to save babies from premature birth by funding research to find causes and by supporting local programs that offer hope and help to families,” the spokesman said.
