The Pine Bluff Zebras fell short to the Hot Springs Lakeside Rams on Monday afternoon in extra innings by a score of 8-6.
Lakeside took an early 2-0 lead after two runners scored on an RBI and a wild pitch in the first inning.
The Zebras answered back with one run in the same inning after an RBI single from Rod Stinson Jr. to drive in Wes Hunt.

The Zebras would take the lead in the second inning with Brandon Thomas, Hunt and Stinson Jr. all driving in runs to put Pine Bluff ahead 4-2.
In the third inning, the Zebras extended their lead to 5-2 after Cason Blunt hit a single and later scored on another RBI by Thomas.
Two runners were walked and later scored for the Rams as they cut the Zebras’ lead down to 5-4 in the fourth inning. Later in the sixth inning, the Rams regained the lead after a pair of RBI’s for a 6-5 lead over Pine Bluff.
In the bottom of the sixth, David Carroll reached second base on an error, and Thomas would lay down a bunt that caused a throwing error to score Carroll and tie the game at 6-6.
However, the Rams would score two runs in the eighth inning to put the game away and defeat the Zebras.
Stinson Jr. went 3 for 4 with two RBI’s to lead the Zebras offensively. Hunt had two hits, and Thomas added two RBI’s to help the Zebras at the plate.
Blunt started on the mound for the Zebras, pitching five innings and allowing five hits while striking out two batters. Stinson Jr. pitched three innings, striking out three batters while allowing four hits.
