The 2026 Southeast Arkansas Regional Art Exhibit is open in the Spencer Gallery in the Fine Arts Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello through March 29. A closing reception and awards ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. March 29. The event is free and open to the public.
Every year, art educators from 10 counties across Southeast Arkansas send the best works of art from their K-12 students for inclusion in the exhibit. The display aims to highlight the hard work, creativity and success of young artists in the area, according to a news release.
Artwork selected for the exhibit was organized by the Arkansas Art Educators. The exhibit features artwork from schools throughout Ashley, Bradley, Calhoun, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson, Lincoln and Union counties.
First-place winners from each grade will be showcased in an exhibition in Little Rock that will include artwork from across the state. Details: UAM School of Arts and Humanities, 870-460-1078.
