Editor, The Commercial:
I waited to write this until after Louis Farrakhan’s appearance. I anticipated the paper’s coverage and expected that they’d report what they did. Mr. Farrakhan is fairly predictable.
The editorial written about it today was well done, in my view. He was called out on his erroneous accusations and divisive vitriol while those constructive aspects of his presentation were acknowledged.
Earlier “Judge Joe Brown” addressed this same group. I was not expecting such ranking idiocy as was reportedly uttered by a man who has actually been a real judge in the state of Tennessee!
Agreed that self reliance and self respect are basic to success in life as are education and ambition.

They can be “marks of a man” and kudos to Mr. Brown for those statements!
However, all that horse manure he spouted about homosexuals was exactly that! There is no justification for his accusations and certainly no place for a man versed in law to throw around such bigoted garbage.
Bias, bigotry, racism, and hatred are known to be the practices of folks who have insecurity complexes. They seem to think they elevate themselves by walking on and denigrating others.
I am not a homosexual, but I attend church with quite a few of them and count some among them as “adopted” family. You shouldn’t label folks you neither know nor try to know.
