Recently the Xi Delta Beta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority met at the White Hall home of Debby Davies for dinner and monthly business meeting.
Chicken spaghetti was the main course along with a salad, peas and garlic bread. Dessert was served and what a dessert it was — pumpkin cheesecake gingersnap trifle.
No one could think well after that but, business called, so coffee was served and the meeting was called to order by Cindy Richardson. Six members were present, along with one guest and the chapter adviser, Regina Breazeale.
Last month’s minutes were read and approved. Then the introduction of one guest was made, Trisha Shank, a new member recently voted in. The treasurer’s report was given and also a report from the City Council.
Service project plans were finalized by the City Council for donations to the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. The Fall Banquet plans were made with new pledges to take Rituals that night. Xi Delta Beta will have the duties of Rituals and displays.

Plans for the chapter were made to send a care package to the soldiers that serve in the unit with Sgt. Joe Breazeale, one of the recent candidates for Soldier of the Year at Fort Hood.
A motion was made and seconded for food to be purchased and donated to the Salvation Army. The Christmas service project will be a donation to the Christmas Card Fund. The Christmas social will be Dec. 17 at the home of the Davies’.
Then, secret sister gifts were exchanged and the drawing for secret sisters for the new year was held. The dollar pot drawing was held and the closing ritual was read.
