Maintenance work on state Highway 212 will require an alternating lane closure just west of Star City, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 23.
Traffic on Highway 212 will be reduced to one lane, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled with traffic cones, flaggers and signs, Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials said.
The work will consist of removing and replacing two drainage pipes. One side of the culverts will be removed and replaced, and then the crews will switch to the other side and do the same. Motorists are encouraged to seek other routes during the maintenance work.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Details: IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com, Twitter @AHTD or call 870- 534-1612 during regular business hours.
