The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Grant and Jefferson counties, according to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.
The purpose of this project is to resurface 6.9 miles of Arkansas 46 extending eastward from Providence to Interstate 530 in Grant and Jefferson counties.
Cranford Construction Co. of North Little Rock was awarded the contract at approximately $1.7 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2017.
