WOODLAWN — Trey Hankins improved to 5-0 without allowing a hit over 4 2/3 innings, navigating the Bears (3-3) to a 15-8 baseball victory over Bee Branch South on Friday.
Hankins did allow four runs and walked four batters, but he struck out six. Dillon Miller came on for the remaining 2 1/3 innings, yielding four runs on five hits with a walk and striking out four.
For Woodlawn, Miller batted 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Hankins knocked in three runs in a 2-for-4 game with a solo home run, Bret Boyd and Gavin Johnston each were 2 for 5, and Jacob Richardson and Daniel Rissinger each hit 3 for 5. Richardson had two doubles and two RBIs.

FORDYCE — Braden Chambers went 6 2/3 innings for Fordyce, striking out eight as the Redbugs (9-2, 1-1 Conference 8-3A) tripped up Rison.
Jordan Manes drove in two runs with a single in the third to put the Redbugs up 4-0 and Josh Culp added an RBI single in the sixth.
The loss spoiled a 12-strikeout, complete-game performance of Rison’s Nick Hefly. Hefly was also productive at the plate with two hits.
Fordyce will continue 8-3A action at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Smackover.
