A 23-year-old woman was found shot to death on Monday, and a 25-year-old man is being held in connection with a charge of second degree murder, according to police.
At just after 2 p.m., Pine Bluff police went to 2405 W. 24th because of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old woman, Jurnea Stanley, unresponsive. She had an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Also present at the scene was 25-year-old Michael Johnson. Johnson was transported to the detective office for questioning. Johnson was transported to the Jefferson County Jail after questioning and booked on suspicion of second degree murder.
