A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Saturday after a police investigation into a reported theft that occurred April 12.
Tamara Guy, 49, was identified as the person who allegedly took a handgun from a man in an apartment on West Barraque Street, according to a probable cause affidavit from Detective Temmiothy Johnson that was presented in district court Monday.
Johnson said in the affidavit that the alleged victim reported that he had let Guy into his apartment to use the bathroom and when Guy came out, she allegedly told the victim that the trash can in the room needed to be emptied.
The alleged victim told police he went into the bathroom to gather the trash and when he came out, Guy was gone and so was a semi-automatic handgun that had been on the kitchen counter.
Johnson said in the affidavit that a witness reported seeing Guy run from the apartment.

When Guy was questioned after being arrested, she allegedly said she did not take anything from the apartment and said she did not see a gun.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Guy after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with theft of property.
Guy said she would hire her own attorney.
