JACKSONVILLE — The Watson Chapel junior high team pulled away from Jacksonville in the final quarter for a 30-7 win to remain undefeated on Thursday.
Watson Chapel (3-0, 2-0 in the River City Conference) had a 6-0 lead at halftime and a 12-7 advantage in the third quarter before scoring three unanswered touchdowns for the victory. The Wildcats never trailed in the game.
Trayvarious Cole got in the end zone for Watson Chapel in the second quarter on a 60-yard touchdown run for the 6-0 lead.
Watson Chapel went up 12-0 when Trayvion Woods scored on an 18-yard scamper. Jacksonville scored its first touchdown on a 76-yard touchdown pass.
But the Wildcats got a 41-yard touchdown pass of their own when Simeon Blair hit Marcel Canady on third down.

Cole put the game away with a 63-yard run and Michael Williams tacked on the final points with 6-yard run and the 30-7 victory.
Watson Chapel held Jacksonville to minus-one yard rushing. It was the second straight week the Wildcats held an opponent to negative rushing yards. Jacksonville did pass for 232 yards.
Watson Chapel had 329 total yards with 266 of those coming on the ground.
Dollarway 36, Newport 8
NEWPORT — Markel Scott rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-8 win over Newport on Thursday.
Kendrick Hunter had 106 all-purpose yards for Dollarway and scored two touchdowns. One came on a 28-yard pass from Kacy Higgins. The other one was on a 30-yard interception return.

Jack Robey’s ninth grade game at Little Rock J.A. Fair ended in a forfeit on Thursday. Jack Robey improves to 3-0 on the season and plays at 6 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Jordan Stadium against Helena-West Helena Central.
The Jack Robey eighth grade team plays at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Stuttgart.
