Editor, The Commercial:
Pine Bluff School Board: The residents of Pine Bluff have the right to know why Superintendent Linda Watson was fired. You tell us you are not at liberty to disclose the reasons why.
What are you trying to hide? Even a phone call to attorney John Walker was not answered. I answer all my phone calls. What are you trying to hide from the residents of Pine Bluff? Spokeswoman Kenetta Ridgell had nothing to say. If you are a spokeswoman, you should speak. That is your job. What are you trying to hide from us?
Why were Watson and board members sparring over the proper role of board members? Our school board members do not know what they are supposed to do? If so, maybe the residents of Pine Bluff need to elect new school board members who know what they are supposed to do.
Why are our board members disrespecting our superintendents? Our children read the newspaper. Our board members are not setting a good example for our children. We teach our children to respect each other. Residents of Pine Bluff, we need to elect new board members who know what they are supposed to do and ones who respect each other.

Also, Dollarway residents, we need your support. Please help our school district. We need a millage increase this year. We need to build an auditorium, construct a new cafeteria and move the high school office. Our children need this.
Our football team is one of the better teams in the state every year. Our football field is terrible. The millage increase will give our students and fans a new football stadium, and our student athletes will have a new training room. Our students need our support.
