White Hall Willing Workers Extension Homemakers Club met Oct. 28 at the White Hall Library.
Members of the club were recognized as Delta District members for years of service. Three charter founding members celebrated their 35th anniversary. Honorees presented with pins and certificates were Marnette Reed, 35 years; Jo Ann Carr, 35 years; Dee Kindrick, 25 years; and Sarah Payton, 35 years.
Also, White Hall Willing Workers EHC celebrated its 35th anniversary, according to a news release.
In other business, Secretary Tonia Dalby called the meeting to order. The Homemakers Creed was led by Vice President Dee Kindrick, who also read the Thought for the Month.
Jo Ann Carr read the Handy Hint. Jim Wilson shared the Inspiration message. Roll was called by Dalby. Minutes of September’s meeting were read, corrected and approved. J. Wilson gave the blessing and a meal was provided by Marnette Reed, Carr and Kay Cromwell.

The treasurer’s report was given by Reed.
The program was provided by Kathy Wilson on “Supermarket Safety.” She shared with the club eight common myths about foodborne illness and steps to take if you have a recalled product were shared. Go to foodsafety.gov to check on recalled products to get the facts.
Cromwell reported August food donations at 29. In September, there were no donations due to being at the fair grounds and members were asked to double up for donations in October. Cash donations are also welcomed. Carr volunteered to collect and take donations in November and December.
K. Wilson reported the Keo Pecan Festival would be Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Miracle on Main Pine Bluff will include singing, dancing, comedy and holiday cheer Dec. 12-13 at 7 p.m.
Members were asked to bring any dolls, caps or blankets to the November meeting. Donations will be made in December at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Festival of the Stars and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Blanket Drive.
The 2024 pecans are still available for purchase by anyone in the community for $12 at the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service, 500 Idaho St.
The meeting was closed by Kindrick with members reciting the Homemakers Prayer.
