White Hall resident achieves 4.0 GPA
Morgan Lunsford of White Hall was named to the President’s List for the 2020 fall semester at Williams Baptist University at Walnut Ridge.
The President’s List includes those full-time students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average, according to a news release.
County Republicans select officers
The Jefferson County Republican Committee elected officers for 2021-2022 Thursday in a virtual meeting, according to a news release.

David Singer of White Hall was elected chairman of the county committee. Susan Over of White Hall will serve as first vice president and Debbie McKinstry of White Hall will continue to serve as second vice president. Janice Adam of Pine Bluff will continue as secretary and Francis Frazier of Pine Bluff as treasurer, according to the release.
Election commissioners Mike Adam of Pine Bluff and Stu Soffer of White Hall were reelected. Soffer is the longest-serving Republican election commissioner in Jefferson County, having served since 2003.
Ex-UAPB player part of storage deal
Pinnacle Storage Properties of Katy, Texas, has acquired Pine Bluff Storage, 3009 W. Pullen St. A major investor in this property is former NFL football player, Roderick Robinson, who was also a quarterback at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Robinson saw this as an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the community where he went to college, according to a news release.
Pine Bluff Storage currently is closed and will be rebranded as Storage Plus of Pine Bluff. The facility has approximately 200 units of various sizes and 31,300 rentable square feet. An expansion of 35,000 square feet is planned six to eight months after the lease is up, according to the release.
