White Hall plans Christmas parade Friday

WHITE HALL – The annual White Hall Christmas parade will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, beginning at Regal Oaks, traveling north on Dollarway Road to Anderson Avenue before ending at City Park, Chamber of Commerce President Kim Wood announced.

Alderman Ed May will be the parade grand marshal and turn on the Christmas lights at the park.

Santa will appear at City Hall for following the parade photographs with children and for an open house where free cookies, hot chocolate and coffee will be served.

Applications for mounted groups, bands, schools, churches, floats and individuals to be in the parade are available at City Hall, or by calling Wood at (501) 960-0347 or Angie Mobley at (870) 329-0095.

The chamber will place the name of a loved one on atop a lighted tree at the entrance to City Park for a $5 donation during the Christmas season, Wood said. A star can be purchased at City Hall. Additional information is available from Lydia Scholebo, 247-2399.
