White Hall Library plans summer programs

Parents are invited to help prevent the “summer slide” in reading skills by making the public library a weekly destination.

The White Hall Library offers three weekly programs beginning at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 9. The programs are free and no preregistration is required.

On Tuesdays, participants will have the chance to learn about a community hero. This program is for elementary students and younger children with an adult and will begin at 10:30 a.m. June 9.

On Wednesdays, participants will join in the do-it-yourself junior city engineer program for hands-on building, designing and decorating. This program is for elementary students and younger children with an adult and will begin at 10:30 a.m. June 10.

On Thursdays, babies and toddlers and their favorite adults can join the Rubber Ducky Club, an early learning program with take-home activities and a short, playful story time designed with little ones in mind. This program will begin at 11 a.m. June 11.

Summer library programs will run from June 9 through July 16, but the library is open all summer to interest, intrigue, amuse and amaze children.
