The White Hall Bulldogs defeated the Dumas Bobcats 41-30 at Dumas Friday to break an 11-game losing streak with a lot of help from Lance Smith.
With 37 seconds left in the half, Smith made a five-yard run score to cap off his 65-yard rush in the play before.
Smith answered a heads up play by Braylon Chaffin in a very strange series of events. A White Hall penalty had backed up the dogs into their own endzone. White Hall over snapped the punt. White Hall tried to save the punt, but it went straight up into the air. Chaffin snatched the ball and ran it back into the endzone for a score.
In the third quarter, Bobcat Chris Tatum scored a touchdown to tie up the game. He also scored the two point conversion as well, bringing the Bobcats ahead 30-28
With 11:40 left in the game, Bulldog Austin Terrell brought in a touchdown, and the extra point kick was good to bring the score to 35-30.
