Tuesday night’s low-scoring girls basketball battle needed an extra period to decide a winner, and the visitors came out on top.
White Hall fell 53-48 in overtime at home to Benton.
Lady Bulldogs coach Dustin Powell said this wasn’t White Hall’s best performance.
“I think we made a lot of bad decisions,” Powell said. “I think we let them turn us over when they weren’t even putting pressure on us, just making bad decisions passing the ball. We let them get to the rim, get into the paint pretty much at will.”
White Hall (11-4, 1-2 in 5A-South) led 45-43 with less than a minute to go in regulation after a 3-pointer and a free throw from Kynnedi Barnett. Her go-ahead 3 was the fourth lead change of the fourth quarter.
